From 20 to 23 November 2025, Diani, in Kenya's Kwale County, hosted the CAC African Road Championships. Merhawi Kudus and Hayley Preen won the elite road races.

The CAC African Road Championships were held from 20 to 23 November 2025 in Diani, in Kwale County on the Kenyan coast. According to the CAC President, 316 riders from 30 countries took part. Kenya had agreed to host the event at the CAC's request, after Congo-Brazzaville withdrew at the last minute.

The elite podiums

  • Men's road race (163.8 km): 1. Merhawi Kudus (Eritrea), 2. Awet Aman (Eritrea), 3. Oussama Abdellah Mimouni (Algeria).
  • Women's road race: 1. Hayley Preen (South Africa), 2. Birikti Fessehaye (Eritrea), 3. Claudette Nyirarukundo (Rwanda).
  • Men's time trial: 1. Brandon Downes (South Africa), 2. Reinardt Janse van Rensburg (South Africa), 3. Alexandre Mayer (Mauritius).
  • Women's time trial: 1. Lucy Young (South Africa), 2. Aurélie Halbwachs (Mauritius), 3. Xaveline Nirere (Rwanda).
  • Mixed relay: 1. Mauritius, 2. Rwanda, 3. Algeria.

The juniors

Ethiopia's Tsige Kahsay Kiros won both the junior women's road race and time trial. Among the junior men, Eritrea's Natan Tesfalem won the road race and Mauritius's Tristan Hardy the time trial.
