The institution
A history closely tied to that of African cycling.
A confederation serving African cycling
The African Cycling Confederation is the continental body that supports the development of cycling in Africa. It brings together the African national federations and contributes to structuring the various cycling disciplines across the continent.
The CAC works with the national federations, the athletes, the coaches, the officials, the organisers, the institutions and everyone involved in the cycling movement, in order to build an African cycling that is stronger, more professional and more present internationally.

From the pioneers to today's champions
Cycling has been part of the sporting history of the African continent for more than a century. The bicycle gradually established itself as a popular sport, a means of mobility and a remarkable way of bringing communities closer together.
Over the decades, African riders have written their own history in continental and international competition. The creation and the growth of the African Cycling Confederation gave that momentum a continental dimension.
The history of the CAC is not only about the past. Every competition, every training course, every young licence holder and every new project writes the next chapter of African cycling.
