The Management Committee of the Union Cycliste Internationale has two representatives from Africa: the CAC President, who sits ex officio, and Algeria's Khireddine Barbari, elected at the Kigali Congress for 2025-2029.

The Management Committee of the Union Cycliste Internationale includes its President, eleven members elected by the Congress and the five Presidents of the continental confederations. The CAC President, Dr Yao Jean-Marie Allah-Kouamé, has therefore sat on it ex officio since his election in 2025.

A member of the UCI Solidarity Commission and of the UCI World Cycling Centre Foundation Board, he received the UCI Merit award in 2023 for his commitment to the development of cycling.

At the UCI Congress held in Kigali in September 2025, alongside the Road World Championships, Algeria's Khireddine Barbari was elected to the Management Committee for the CAC. President of the Algerian Cycling Federation and Secretary General of the Algerian Olympic Committee, he represents Africa for 2025-2029.

The same Congress made Dr Mohamed Wagih Azzam, President of the CAC from 2005 to 2025, an Honorary Vice-President of the UCI in recognition of his services to cycling.
