On Tuesday 25 April 2023, at the CAC Congress in Nairobi, the Confederation signed an eight-year partnership, from 2024 to 2032, with Golazo, a Belgian sports marketing and events agency. UCI President David Lappartient attended the signing.

What the agreement covers

  • Golazo is the marketing and event partner of the annual African Championships.
  • It advises candidate host countries and assesses their bids with the CAC.
  • On site, it handles the practical organisation, including TV rights, media exposure and partnerships.

"We know Golazo's expertise, and it is good to use it for the benefit of African cycling," said David Lappartient.

Three editions in Kenya

Golazo organised the 2024 edition in Eldoret and the 2025 edition in Diani, and is organising the 2026 edition in Kisumu. According to its cycling director, Christophe Impens, the 2024 edition brought together 22 nations and was broadcast live in 35 African countries on three of the five days of racing. In April 2026, the CAC President again cited this "strategic partnership with the agency Golazo for the organisation of the African Championships" (translated from French).
